01.31.25 Full packages are due to the Award Review Group – department/unit heads submit nominations (up to 3, 1 per category below) – nominees to email materials to Melissa Sharp and Andre West
02.07.25 Award Review Group selects college nominations; all nominees are notified; comments and suggestions on packages are due to the college nominees
02.14.25 Final packages are due to the dean’s office – nominees to email them to the dean;s EA
02.21.25 Packages are due to the university – Dean’s EA will submit
Wilson College of Textiles Nomination Limit: 3 total; 1 for each:
- Early-career faculty: Eight years or fewer at the rank of assistant professor, regardless of track
- Senior faculty: More than eight years at the rank of assistant professor or higher
- Non-faculty staff professional

Award Information
This award encourages and recognizes outstanding accomplishment in globally engaged teaching, research, extension, and/or engagement and economic development by current full-time faculty and EHRA professionals of NC State University.
Eligibility
This award is open to all current, full-time NC State faculty and professional staff members. Nominees should have a well-established record of advancing international education, research, outreach or other activities at NC State. Awards are given in three categories:
- Early-career faculty: Eight years or fewer regardless of track
- Senior faculty: More than eight years at the rank of assistant professor or higher
- Professional staff: NC State employees who’s work aligns with the goals of the award
Outstanding contributions may include:
- International research collaboration that advances knowledge, innovation, or the visibility and global network of NC State
- Enhancing global learning for our students through teaching, course design, program development and administration, advising, or other activities that prepare them for success in our interconnected world
- Accomplishments in international extension, outreach or economic development that address critical global challenges and advance NC State’s land-grant mission
- Service to international professional organizations, academic organizations, boards, or task forces
- International consulting, publications, or creative work
Note: Past Jackson Rigney International Service Award recipients are not eligible for the Outstanding Global Engagement Award. Previous Outstanding Global Engagement Award recipients are eligible to be nominated for the Jackson Rigney award in the future.
